Late Entries, Transfers & Cancellations

Late Entries

Online entries are available until 5pm Friday 12 July 2024.

After online entries close, late entries will be subject to the availability of races and can only be made in person at Registration at the location and times below.

If a distance is sold out there will be no late entries available at Registration. There is no waitlist for a distance that is sold out.

Transfers to another distance

Transfers of distance are subject to availability. If a distance is sold out there will be no transfers available to that distance.

Prior to midnight Monday 3 June 2024 you can transfer up or down a distance online by logging into your Active account.

After Monday 3 June 2024, transfers to another distance can only be done in person at Registration.

There is no fee, but you must pay the difference in entry fee (at that time) if you go up in distance. There is no refund for going down a distance.

Transfer to another person

Transfers to another person must be within the same distance. If the new participant wants to change distance also then they must do that in a separate step (see above).

Prior to midnight Monday 3 June 2024 transfers to another person can be done online by going to your Active account and selecting Transfer to another person. See the steps below. There is no transfer fee if you do this prior to midnight Monday 3 June 2024.

Steps to Transfer to Another Person (prior to midnight Monday 3 June 2024)

  1. Log into your Active account and access My Events
  2. Select Cairns Marathon Festival and click transfer registration
  3. Enter the new participant’s email address in the email address field
  4. Enter the recipient’s email address again to confirm at Confirm email address
  5. Click Submit
  6. The new participant will receive an email inviting them to enter and pay the registration fee*
  7. Your registration will be cancelled, and you will then be refunded the entry fee.

* Please note the new participant enters and pays for their entry before your credit is processed and pays the current registration fee (not your original amount).

After midnight Monday 3 June 2024 transfers to another person must be done in person at Registration (see location and times above). There is a $15 transfer fee. You must collect the Bib (if it has not been posted) and an have an "authority" from the original person who entered. Please proceed to the Transfers desk for assistance. Please note, the preferred form of "authority" is a copy of the registration confirmation email of the original participant

If the person who receives the transferred entry then wants to transfer to another distance then the same rules mentioned above apply. If a distance is sold out there will be no transfers available to that distance.

Please note after midnight Monday 3 June 2024 the Transfer transaction is a matter between the two persons offering and accepting the transfer – Atlas Events is not involved in that transaction, including charging or refunding. Accordingly, please be very careful that the person from whom you are receiving the entry has a genuine entry. You can check with us at [email protected] for verification.

Cancellations

Where eligible, the following refund fees are applicable for cancellations, depending on when the request is received.

  • Refund of 75% up to 4pm, 14 April 2024
  • Refund of 50% up 4pm, 14 May 2024
  • Refund of 25% up to 4pm, 14 June 2024
  • No Refunds after 14 June
